Sports
Clonmoney School participates in a wide variety of sports, including athletics, camogie, Gaelic football, hurling, soccer, swimming, and more. Each child in our school is encouraged to participate in physical activities to develop a healthy and active lifestyle.
Our school has been successful in many competitions over the years and in particular GAA sports and cross country running. We also have close ties with Newmarket-on-Fergus & Sixmilebridge GAA clubs as well as Bunratty Cratloe soccer club. It is wonderful to see so many of our past pupils representing Newmarket & the ‘Bridge with such distinction. Our school year ends with our annual Sports Day, as part of ‘Active Week’ which is enjoyed by pupils, parents, past pupils, and staff, with a focus on participation and fun.
After school training in hurling & camogie is provided or offered for pupils from 3rd to 6th classes, from 2:30 – 3:30 pm. The girls & boys of 5th/6th train on Wednesdays, with 3rd/4th training on Thursdays.
